Global Problems

Kita menghadapi tantangan global baru, menghadapi permasalahan yang lebih kompleks dalam dunia yang semakin cepat berubah. Mau tidak mau, kita harus mengakui bahwa perubahan iklim dan pemanasan global sedang terjadi. Dan kita membutuhkan solusi yang komprehensif secepatnya karena waktu semakin menipis.

Indonesia sebagai negara terluas keempat di dunia memiliki peran yang besar dan wilayah yang begitu luas untuk diperhitungkan dalam tataran global. Ketika permerintah berusaha keras memecahkan problem-problem diatas, kita sebagai bagian dari masyarakat dunia juga harus berperan dan member kontribusi untuk menyelamatkan bumi kita. Salah satu penyebab utama global warming adalah penggunaan bahan bakar dari fosil, energy yang tak terbarukan dan sama sekali tidak ramah lingkungan.

We’re facing new global challenges, more complex and severe problems that has come into rapid-changing world. Like it or not, we must admit that global warming and climate change are exist. And we need a comprehensive solution as the clock ticking to us.

Indonesia as the fourth largest country in the world will have the big impact and very large area to be calculated on global system. As the government struggles to find the efforts which may reduce the impact of global warming, we, as the part of global community should contribute to save our earth. Any government’s programs would fail unless the society supports them and make things happen.

The very first reason behind global warming is the use of fossil fuel-non-renewable and absolutely non-eco friendly energy- it leads to slowly but sure unstoppable destructions of our mother earth. Nonetheless, we can’t imply and refuse that humans also take part on the today’s global warming or climate change. We can’t give up hands and say that we have no contribution on it. Indeed, we take the main part and also must take all responsibilities in restoring the world.

And what is the fossil fuel aim for? We’ve already knew it. The biggest user of fossil fuel products, such as gasoline, solar, gas, and diesel is transportation system. It is painfully hard to describe that almost all sorts of vehicle use the fuel. Cars, ships, motorbikes, planes, rails, trucks, and boats use the petrol as the main fuel, even when the hybrid and electric ones exist in the markets. The fossil-fueled vehicle still regarded as the main and most important. We cannot simply change or encourage people not to use their cars or their motorbikes because the vehicles are like the heart and lifeblood for them. We simply cannot convince the government to make a new rule or law that environmentally friendly at the same time, yet we can’t prove how important the changes. All we need is step by step, evolutionary not revolutionary changes, to make big impact to the future. And at the very first time we have to underline the message on the matter of transportation problem.
